Job Description

Revit Senior Piping Design Technician

Location: Portland, OR


Qualifications:
  •  Associate’s degree in Design Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience of +2 years).
  • 10+ years of piping design experience in industrial settings (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semi-Conductors.
  • Proficiency in Revit for piping design and modeling.
  • You will need a minimum of 3 years of solid Revit usage.
  • Understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with general oversight while managing your assigned design tasks.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills within a multi?disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on model and drawing accuracy.

Ideally, You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology or similar curriculum.
  • Experience in semiconductor facilities.
  • Working knowledge of pipe stress considerations and how they influence routing and support design.
  • Experience with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven design.
  • Advanced capability with Revit such as family/part development and trouble-shooting.
  • Prior leadership in Piping teams, including oversight of model consistency and deliverable quality.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Senior-Level Revit Piping Designer, you’ll independently develop piping designs, lead portions of project scope, and coordinate directly with engineers and other disciplines.
  • You will provide technical input on operability, model quality, and design standards while supporting workshare execution and contributing to estimating and change-management discussions.
