HR Generalist

Location: Tulsa, Ok

Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist I to support a wide range of human resources functions, including HR inquiries, and to play a key part in fostering a positive employee experience while ensuring HR processes run smoothly. 

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to support a variety of HR initiatives and day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is excited to help shape and streamline people processes. 

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and employee lifecycle activities using Paycom (HRIS)
  • Administer and respond to benefit and leave-related inquiries, including FMLA and short-term disability
  • Support payroll processing and timecard approvals
  • Manage training records, compliance tracking, and HR documentation
  • Facilitate employee engagement events and the summer intern program
  • Assist with recruiting, HR audits, employment verification, and performance management
  • Serve as reception backup, answering calls and welcoming guests

Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred 


Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources


Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of employment law
