Job Description
Gas Turbine – Technician/Specialist – Power Innovation (Commissioning)
Location: Bowling Green, OH
Responsibilities / Expectations:
- Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in gas turbine systems supporting commissioning, startup, and operations for power and energy infrastructure (e.g., BESS, substations, generation assets)
- Apply specialized knowledge to support safe, efficient commissioning and system turnover, including coordination of FAT/SAT activities, systemization, and punch-list closure
- Execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols
- Review technical test reports and complete commissioning records and technical reports
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, commissioning readiness reviews, and post-event summaries to project leadership and cross-functional teams
- Ensure safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions
- Embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency
- Perform additional duties as needed to support commissioning efforts
Education / Years of Experience:
Required:
- Industry experience maintaining or troubleshooting gas turbine engines
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Associate or 2-year technical degree
- Experience working with Siemens SGT-800 and A-35 gas turbines
Other Requirements:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the top priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
- Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
- Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
Work Schedule & Other Details
- 12 hour 7-day on/off rotating shifts
- Work in a variety of conditions, including extreme temperatures, loud areas, and confined spaces
- Lift up to 50 lbs and team-lift heavier loads
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, and squat for extended periods
- Work at elevated levels using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts with appropriate PPE
- Use hand tools and mechanical diagnostic equipment
- Occasional shiftwork on nights and holidays
