Senior Instrument Reliability Engineer

Location: Rosemount, MN

Description:

Seeking a seasoned Instrument Reliability Engineer to provide strategic leadership for reliability initiatives at a refinery site in Rosemount, MN. The successful candidate will own key reliability programs, including Mechanical Integrity, drive equipment and reliability strategies, lead RCFA efforts, and serve as a technical leader within the organization. This is a strategy-focused role requiring significant experience, independent judgment, and program ownership.

Seeking a senior-level Instrument Reliability Engineer with strong experience in:

  • Refining, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments
  • Reliability strategy development and implementation
  • Mechanical Integrity Program ownership or leadership
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Equipment reliability strategy development
  • Reliability standards, best practices, and long-term asset management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and support the site's Mechanical Integrity Program
  • Develop and improve reliability strategies
  • Lead root cause failure investigations
  • Support equipment strategy development
  • Maintain and improve reliability standards and best practices
  • Participate in industry user groups and conferences to bring external best practices back to the organization
  • Serve as a strategic reliability resource across the site

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Senior-level engineer with a strong strategic and program ownership mindset (8+ years)
  • Proven experience driving reliability improvements and influencing stakeholders
  • Background in refining strongly preferred
  • Able to operate independently and quickly assume ownership of critical reliability programs
  • Not seeking an early-career engineer
