Job Description

Senior Accountant

Location: Remote

Description:

We’re searching for a sharp, experienced accounting rockstar who can own the details and handle complexity with confidence. As our Senior Accountant, you will be a key partner to the Controller — delivering accurate, timely financial reporting while tackling challenging accounting areas such as complex commission structures, revenue recognition, and process improvements. This is a high-visibility role for someone who has already performed at the Accounting Manager level and is excited to bring senior-level expertise to a Senior Accountant position with strong long-term growth potential into Accounting Manager or Controller.

What You’ll Own:
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Account for and manage complex commission structures, including calculations, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and elevating overall quality.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance accuracy, controls, and efficiency across the accounting function.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the Controller on GAAP matters and special projects.
  • Support external audits and maintain strong compliance standards.
What You Bring:
  • CPA license (non-negotiable) and Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
  • Significant experience with core accounting functions: journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on expertise with complex commission structures — you’ve successfully managed variable compensation accounting in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience reviewing and overseeing the work of others (Accounting Manager or equivalent background strongly preferred).
  • You’re intentionally building your career in technical accounting and controllership — not transitioning toward FP&A or finance leadership roles.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic insight.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced setting, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
