Job Description

Planner/Scheduler

Location: Pasadena, Tx

Description: 
  • Prepare Engineering, Procurement, and Construction schedules for each phase of a project from proposal through engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Understand fundamental engineering and construction work sequences and be able adapt to project team and Client requirements
  • Review schedule information including logic ties and interfaces for accuracy
  • Perform schedule quality analysis using P6 and other software tools
  • Maintain earned value and forecast data in P6
  • Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions
  • Consistently meet schedule issue deadlines
  • Work closely with Project Team to improve performance in project planning and execution
  • Perform schedule variance analysis and communicate schedule trends effectively
  • Develop and recommend solutions and mitigation plans through analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of project data
  • Proactively focus project team and management’s attention to areas of concern
  • Support internal training, workshops, and/or presentations to other departments or clients on our planning and scheduling work processes, tools, and systems.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of planning / scheduling experience in a capital projects environment.
  • Prior working knowledge and planning experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software (5+ years).
  • Advance working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.  
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Power BI
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, completeness and meeting deadlines and commitments is critical.  
  • Strong work ethic and analytical skills.  
  • Proactive and strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Participate in routine visits to project sites and fabrication shops to audit progress
  • Enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
