Cost Analyst

Location: Bayport, Tx

Description:
Role Objective To provide real-time cost visibility, budgeting accuracy, and financial discipline during the planning and execution phases of a scheduled plant turnaround. This role bridges the gap between field execution and corporate accounting.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

  • 5 years + cost control/financial background
  • Google Suite applications
  • Organized; structured

Highest Level of Education Required for this Position:

  • Associate degree or 5 years experience

Post-Turnaround & Reporting:

  • Final Cost Report: Reconcile all invoices against field-verified data to produce a final expenditure report.
  • Variance Analysis: Explain why the event went over or under budget (e.g., “Scope creep in Unit 3 led to a 10% overrun”).
  • Benchmarking: Capture data to improve the accuracy of the next TAR cycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Mastery of Excel (Pivot Table)
