Description:
Seeking a seasoned Instrument Reliability Engineer to provide strategic leadership for reliability initiatives at a refinery site in Rosemount, MN. The successful candidate will own key reliability programs, including Mechanical Integrity, drive equipment and reliability strategies, lead RCFA efforts, and serve as a technical leader within the organization. This is a strategy-focused role requiring significant experience, independent judgment, and program ownership.
Seeking a senior-level Instrument Reliability Engineer with strong experience in:
- Refining, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial manufacturing environments
- Reliability strategy development and implementation
- Mechanical Integrity Program ownership or leadership
- Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
- Equipment reliability strategy development
- Reliability standards, best practices, and long-term asset management
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and support the site's Mechanical Integrity Program
- Develop and improve reliability strategies
- Lead root cause failure investigations
- Support equipment strategy development
- Maintain and improve reliability standards and best practices
- Participate in industry user groups and conferences to bring external best practices back to the organization
- Serve as a strategic reliability resource across the site
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Senior-level engineer with a strong strategic and program ownership mindset (8+ years)
- Proven experience driving reliability improvements and influencing stakeholders
- Background in refining strongly preferred
- Able to operate independently and quickly assume ownership of critical reliability programs
- Not seeking an early-career engineer
