Manager of Project Management 

Location: Tulsa, Ok

Description: 

The Manager of Project Managers is responsible for leading and developing a team of Project Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of strategic and operational initiatives across the organization. This role establishes project management standards, drives portfolio visibility, removes execution roadblocks, and ensures alignment with company priorities. The position balances people leadership, process governance, and strategic oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers across multiple business functions.
  • Establish performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and support career development planning.
  • Drive accountability, consistency, and execution excellence across the PM team.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and resource planning for project management capacity.
  • Oversee the organization’s project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Implement and maintain standardized project management methodologies, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor project health, risk, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
  • Provide executive-level visibility into timelines, risks, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate strategy into executable project plans.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, capacity, and risk.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional conflicts or bottlenecks impacting project delivery.
  • Drive post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-risk projects.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure project alignment and resource commitment.
  • Ensure clear communication of milestones, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
How To Qualify:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, preferably managing Project Managers.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional initiatives in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated success implementing project governance structures and portfolio management practices.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Able to travel 10-20%.
  • Positive attitude with a good sense of humor.
