Job Description
SCCM Packager
Location: Remote
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Create, test, and deploy software packages following established software guidelines.
- Utilize PowerShell to script software installs including all prerequisites, configurations, or items required for successful deployment.
- Consult with application owners, business owners, or requestors to gather requirements, instructions, and configurations necessary for software packaging and deployment.
- Update and retire applications, Active Directory groups, task sequences, collections, and deployments to maintain multiple SCCM environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software packaging, SCCM client, or application deployments.
- Verify successful deployments, address issues, report and remediate failures.
- Develop and maintain Knowledge Base articles detailing software installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and package information for users, packagers, and support teams.
- Follow established packaging standards for each environment, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Complete assigned tasks or incidents, collaborating with the packaging team or other IT personnel as needed to address technology and support issues.
- Collaborate with Package team on technology and support issues
- Proficient in using MECM / SCCM, Intune, PatchMyPC or other technologies for software packaging and deployment.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automating software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Experience with troubleshooting software installation issues and SCCM client issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
