QA Tester - Hybrid Position

Location: Tulsa, OK

Description

The QA Analyst is primarily responsible for functional testing of Banking and Financial software products as well as ancillary applications. Testers execute test cases following test plans and procedures developed for software product releases. The QA Analyst will also assist with administrative duties such as facilitating meetings, report creation, issue tracking and test case/user story maintenance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary responsibility at this level may include any or all of the following: 

  • Assist project teams with the development and documentation of user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to understand user stories and ensure a high quality user experience.

  • Plan, develop and document new test cases or update regression tests based on provided user stories.

  • Maintain traceability between tests and their associated user stories.

  • Execute test cases for new functionality as well as regression on Banking and Financial software product lines using a variety of environments and platforms including mobile devices (i.e. iPhone/iPad, Android) and Web Browsers (i.e. Safari, Chrome, Edge, etc.)

  • Document and communicate issues, providing specific information describing the incident and how to replicate.

  • Perform routine updates in incident and test case tracking via Jira and HP Quality Center applications including report creation and dissemination. 

  • Assist with providing updated and accurate information to the QA Lead for maintaining up to date test procedures, cases, schedules, reports and environments.

  • Partner with our Scrum development team to ensure code releases provide maximum business value and minimize operational interruptions, while protecting the targeted release cadence.

  • Seamlessly collaborate with offshore team through meetings, tools & formal communication channels.

  • Assist with urgent deliverables, critical production deployment validation, hotfix testing and meeting with offshore when requested both during as well as outside normal business hours.

  • Hard Skills

    • Proficient in multiple Windows, Mac and mobile device operating systems

    • Proficient in the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    • General knowledge of Accounting, Financial or Banking concepts is a plus but not required

    • Mobile technology experience is a plus but not required

    • Basic knowledge of MS SQL highly desirable

    • Ability to execute test cases using API services 

    • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodology is preferred but not required

    • Experience with Jira and HP Quality Center is preferred

    • Knowledge of BDD, TDD and use of Cucumber desirable

    • Basic knowledge on CICD, AWS, Dev-Ops is desirable but not mandatory

    • Experience with Selenium and/or Ruby desirable
