Job Description

Operations Analyst

Location: Tulsa, OK

Description:
The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and related regulations. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, researching, auditing, documenting, and timely reporting of activities and transactions that may be subject to regulatory requirements. The Operations Analyst utilizes automated systems and maintains records to ensure compliance, and reviews transaction reports for potential violations, including but not limited to currency transaction reports, and/or OFAC alerts produced real-time through electronic payment systems. This position also supports exemption processes and periodic reviews as required by regulatory guidelines.

  • Monitor and review transactions flagged for potential regulatory or sanctions concerns, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Analyze and validate alerts to determine accuracy, escalate issues as needed, and document decisions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to support regulatory requirements, audits, and examinations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance, respond to inquiries, and assist with updates to procedures and controls.
  • Identify trends and provide feedback to improve filtering systems, reporting processes, and overall compliance effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely completion of required filings and reviews, including reporting obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations.
  • Assist with exemption reviews and periodic assessments of customer activity for compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the BSA/AML compliance function.
Requirements: 
  • This level of knowledge is normally acquired through an Associates’ degree and 1-2 years of financial institution experience. Experience in BSA/AML is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and the Money Laundering Suppression Act regulations and business transaction practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations and compliance policies.
  • Excellent PC and software skills including Excel, Word, Fidelity, Atchley systems, and Synergy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, research problems, and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize working files and critical situations.
