Job Description

NGP IT Contractor

Location: Remote

Description:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified contractor to support our Natural Gas Pipeline (NGP) IT Applications Team. We would appreciate your assistance in identifying candidates who meet the qualifications outlined below.

Position Overview:
This is a remote contract position with an initial term of one year, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and project demand.
The selected candidate will support multiple applications and strategic initiatives across our Natural Gas Intrastate and Interstate Pipeline business units, working closely with business stakeholders, Business Process Owners, and IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy industry
  • Strong technical expertise in:
    • SQL Server database development (Strong experience in SQL scripting, query optimization, and database troubleshooting)
    • Web technologies (Experience with web application development, ETL processes, REST APIs, application integrations)
  • Prior experience with Trilogy's TIES suite, including TIES Desktop and TIES Connect, is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) solutions is highly desirable
  • Experience with reporting and analytics solutions, particularly DevExpress, is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Business Process Owners and business stakeholders to design and develop reports, interfaces, dashboards, and other business solutions for critical applications, including TIES Desktop and TIES Connect.
  • Provide application and technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution of business and system issues.
  • Manage software deployments, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance activities for TIES applications.
  • Build, configure, and maintain application and web servers, including software installations and security patching.
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators on database instance strategy, performance, and environment management.
  • Support ongoing projects and initiatives while ensuring the reliability, stability, and effectiveness of the application portfolio.
