Coordinator, Event and Food Service Ops

Location: Houston, TX


Responsibilities of the Event and Foodservice Operations Associate may include;

  • Responsible for successfully executing meetings for varying Business Units in addition to an active partnership in ensuring consistent and quality foodservice.

  • Management of the Conference Space Request System

  • Inspect room sets to work orders to ensure accuracy and satisfied customers

  • Support all aspects of internal meetings function as needed

  • Assist with room set ups/adjustments when needed

  • Outlook meeting room support

  • Maintain active meeting database, and archived savings database

  • Maintain an active presence in inspecting foodservice operations for consistent and high-quality standards

  • Develop intermediate knowledge on how to support day to day tech requests

  • Back up tech support for on-site meetings

Basic requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Hospitality Management or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years coordination of meetings and events and/or foodservice operations

  • Strong computer and software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communications skills and knowledge of grammar style and rules

  • A team player with high accountability for his/her actions

  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Adaptable and flexible to changing conditions
