Expeditor

Location: Corpus Christi, TX


Position Summary
The Expeditor is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services for refinery and industrial projects. This role plays a critical part in supporting project schedules by tracking purchase orders, identifying risks, and resolving delivery issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and procurement teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Track and monitor the status of purchase orders from placement through delivery.
  • Identify potential delays and take proactive steps to mitigate schedule impacts.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding order status and delivery timelines.
  • Identify, document, and resolve issues that may impact delivery schedules.
  • Implement corrective actions to minimize project disruptions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly expediting reports outlining progress, delivery dates, and potential risks.
  • Support project teams with documentation and status updates.
  • Create purchase requisitions as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–15 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or materials coordination within Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Experience working with vendors and suppliers in an EPC or owner/operator environment.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders, technical specifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience on refinery or large industrial construction projects.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of materials management systems.
  • Familiarity with project controls and reporting processes.
