Job Description

Well Site Supervisor

Location: Kuparuk, AK

Description
  • Experience driving in rugged terrain and challenging weather conditions preferred
  • Heavy equipment operation, heavy load transportation, or crane certification preferred
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with inventory software or Wellview software preferred
  • Ability to manage large groups of people and multiple operations simultaneously
  • Ability to work in and present to small strategic groups preferred
  • Limited background in stimulation additives, petrochemistry, or production chemistry preferred
  • Introduction or understanding of current Alaska permitting and land restrictions
  • Familiarity with or interaction with state environmental and emissions oversight (AOGCC, BLM, ADEC) preferred
  • Previous Slope logistics experience preferred
  • Previous conventional fracturing background preferred
  • Ability to work 3-on/3-off rotation in dormitory-type environment
  • Ensures safe and efficient operation of the work area

  • Collaborates with engineers and Optimization Specialists to optimize area volumes, expenses, and long-term value
  • Coordinates with third-party vendors to ensure optimal performance and maintain company requirements
  • Recommends improvements in Planning, Operations, and Maintenance processes
  • Works with Lead Operator to organize and fulfill SIMOPs demands
  • Assists in training and development of field personnel through mentorship and technical guidance
  • Provides input for employee assessments and reviews
  • Manages daily activities of business, technical support, or production team
  • Resolves standard/non-standard problems
  • Responsible for management of a functional area or small to medium operation
  • Makes decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plans
  • Performs relief duties for Completions Superintendent
  • Provides input to development of technical/functional strategies and ensures operational plans align with business objectives
  • Coordinate with Third Party vendors for materials/labor needs to slope
  • Work with warehouse/drilling material planners to locate and expedite materials/supplies/equipment for each fracturing treatment
  • Assess pad layouts for planning fracturing operations
  • Work with frac company and labor provider on equipment and SIMOPs needs
  • Coordinate frac material input (water and proppant) needs based on completion design and Operations deliverability
  • Provide Slope travel, badge access, and billeting to Third Party Vendors
  • Organize support equipment (light plants, heaters, generators) through internal resources or rental companies
  • Direct vendor assignments and rigups onsite (frac valves, frac tracer pumping, ball/dart droppers, fuel trucks)
  • Manage loading/unloading, maintenance, and other ancillary operations across multiple fields and pad sites
  • Plan and manage material reloading and fuel replenishment
  • Work with Wells Hardline support to provide tanks, IA/OA tie-ins, and hardline connections
  • Interact with and understand environmental, emissions, and land permitting requirements
  • Coordinate frac water volumes and rates with Operations:
  • In the seawater case: assemble loading stations and trucking to frac pad
  • In the produced water case: monitor and communicate PW rates and potential stoppages
  • Select appropriate equipment or suitable replacements for unavailable/downed equipment
  • Plan and manage SIMOPs with drilling rig, coiled tubing, and other services in real-time
  • Select appropriate handling and storage of proppant, including preloading activities and volume tracking
  • Schedule ahead and manage emergency plans for changing weather patterns or significant weather events
  • Track proppant inventory and quality control:
  • Responsible for tracking quantities of multiple types/sieves of proppant across multiple fields and staging pads
  • Front-line cost tracking and field ticket input via OpenInvoice and Wellview
  • Log equipment, volume data, cost estimates, event tracking data, and treatment data into Wellview
  • Coordinate and support special frac-related projects and new technology (e.g., PW Skid, Proppant Silos, Tankage, High-Pressure & Low-Pressure Hose solutions)
  • 5–10 years in Hydraulic Fracturing or related field
  • High School diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Field-to-field travel requires a minimum of 40% of day spent traveling
