Description


Are you an instructional designer focused on technology that enjoys working with others and being creative in a fast-paced environment?

This role collaborates with Technology Trainers, subject matter experts, leaders and vendors to assess, evaluate and develop relevant high-quality training solutions to meet business needs and drive performance.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent listener and communicator (both individually and in groups), great at building relationships with a variety of stakeholders to better understand their needs and can influence people into action. This individual should understand adult learning and instructional design concepts and practices, be proficient in the tools and emerging technologies available, as it relates to training and development, and have a background in developing technology training. They should have experience in measuring training success through metrics and reports to demonstrate ROI impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner/consult and develop strong relationships with project managers, business users, leadership and others to determine training needs and expectations and to support a technology training strategy.
  • Collaborates with trainers, subject matter experts, leaders, and vendors to understand and execute training initiatives.
  • Coordinates training across various aspects of the company with a field focus ensuring the correct individuals are receiving the appropriate training to perform the duties of their role utilizing the technology available.
  • Develops course materials focusing on e-learning but may also include QRCs, videos, training user guides, etc. and identifies appropriate repository for storage and facilitation of materials.
  • Ensures learning and development strategies and materials are in alignment to objectives, organizational and departmental goals, mission, and values.
  • Understands all learning opportunities available throughout the company by building relationships with all training professionals and cross promotes to encourage participation.
  • Develops reporting and metrics to measure the success and return on investment of training.
  • Acts as a change leader to encourage participation and adoption of Technology tools, data and processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or commensurate years of experience..
  • 5+ years of experience in training, or instructional design roles required.
  • Must have demonstrated understanding of organizational training design and development, adult learning concepts, practices, procedures.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with SME’s and teammates, both verbal and written to gather requirements, collaborate on projects, seek feedback, and ask questions to understand the technology.
  • Must have experience leading change.
  • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and well organized with ability to shift resources and priorities as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as respond to multiple requests and changing priorities.
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word. PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Storyline, Rise 360, and Camtasia.
  • SuccessFactors experience preferred.
  • Assessment writing experience required. Competency based work preferred.
  • Graphics experience with Adobe Photoshop preferred.
  • Experience in designing online technical course content.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Technology or technical and data experience preferred.
