Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Software Test Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the full software testing life cycle. This includes creating and executing detailed test plans to identify issues, collaborating with developers to resolve them, and updating test plans to ensure any newly discovered issues are properly covered. You will gain an in-depth understanding of our products and tools, all while honing your technical skills. Strong problem-solving skills, along with a keen attention to detail, will set you up for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Software Testing: Perform software validation to ensure design specifications are met.
- Test Plan Development: Develop test plans and testing methods to ensure full test coverage and efficiency.
- Defect Documentation: Identify and document software defects, providing clear feedback to product stakeholders. Actively track defect resolution progress.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance Test/QA processes, improve efficiency, and broaden test coverage.
- Collaborate in Agile Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams for seamless software iterations.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field of study, OR equivalent training and experience.
- Testing Experience: professional experience executing tests and documenting results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details in a clear, concise manner.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and excellent task management.
- Quick Learner: Ability to rapidly learn new software and hardware tools for testing.
- Independence & Collaboration: Able to work well both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience
- Tools & Platforms: Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar backlog ticket tracking / reporting tools.
- Vehicle Communication Protocols: Familiarity with engine and vehicle communication protocols (e.g.,CAN)
- Embedded Systems Testing: Experience testing embedded applications and connected devices.
- UI/UX Testing: Experience testing infotainment systems with a focus on UI/UX design.
- Mobile App Testing: Experience with mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Usability Testing: Experience with user/usability testing methodologies.
- Automation Expertise: Proficient in creating automated test scripts and familiarity with automated testing tools.
- On Job Training will be provided. Entry level candidates may be considered.
