Senior Project Controls Specialist
Location: Able to sit in Wallingford, CT, Newton, MA, Atlanta, GA, or Houston, TX
Responsibilities:

Analyze data, logs, and reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
- Validate proper Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is utilized.
- Develop effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flow reports and forecasts for multiple projects.
- Develop, implement, and manage the reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data for multiple large projects.
- Provide leadership and training to team members ensuring the resolution of difficult project control issues.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers, and contractors.
- Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
- Validate the accuracy of cost management and forecast reporting.
- Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project costs and contingency costs and support external audits.
- Review upstream (prime contract) / downstream (purchase orders & subcontract) change orders.
- Analyze cash flow reports.
- Lead the presentation of Project Controls reporting.
- Validate schedule progress.
- Analyze and evaluate schedule management involving the critical path method of scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, forecasting and document control.
- Perform schedule what-if scenarios.
- Validate the accuracy of earned value management system reporting.
- Analyze progress measurement.
- Analyze progress curves.
- Identify and oversee the Risk Management process.
- Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
- Perform Project Forensic Analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 7 years direct project controls experience required or applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Experience working in the Utility Industry (Electrical transmission and distribution) required.
- Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating, Earned Value Management, and document control required.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 required.
- Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities preferred.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and report CPI and SPI key performance indicators is required.
