Executive Summary: The Analytics Engineer role is essential particularly for the Asset Integrity & Corrosion Team, to manage complex data and systems. This position will backfill the work performed by the Rotational Engineer (EDP). The Analytics Engineer will focus on analytics, metrics, reporting, automation, and improving data collection and storage efficiency. By streamlining processes and integrating various software packages, the role will significantly improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support SMEs in creating more efficient business processes. Additionally, the Analytics Engineer will save the company money by reducing reliance on consultants and optimizing analysis of pipe production parameters to reduce inspection costs. This role will enhance data management, project management, and technical support, ensuring Williams can handle modern data complexities, improve operational efficiency, and maintain its competitive edge.
Collaborate with SMEs in Welding, Metallurgy, Corrosion, Integrity Management, and Coatings, as well as IT support staff, to develop automation solutions using Williams' standard software tools, including Microsoft CoPilot. Responsibilities include programming, data analysis, model development, reporting, and project management. Support SMEs in creating efficient business processes and integrating various software packages such as Aconex, GIS, PCS, and Maximo.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to IT standards for data security, risk management, and cybersecurity.
- Utilize company standard software tools.
- Maintain weld request forms and Internal Corrosion databases.
- Refine reporting for Annual Performance Reports (APRs) and sustainability reports.
- Create dashboards to track pipe manufacturing data for large projects.
- Provide project management, process improvement, and standardization for SMEs.
- Offer technical support, data management, and training for end-users.
- Collaborate with all organizational levels to understand business needs and recommend improvements.
- Resolve production issues and manage data flow from the field to databases.
- Participate in application development, upgrades, testing, implementation, and data integration.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for software installations, upgrades, and patches.
- Create and maintain Microsoft Power BI reports and analytics.
- Support data retrieval, compilation, and management from vendors and operations.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FAQs, and best practice documentation.
- Integrate multiple datasets and optimize process flows.
Education/Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, IT, engineering, business, or related field, and a minimum of 7 years' experience, including 3 years supporting a major technology application.
- Preferred: Master's degree with 10 years' experience, including 5+ years in data science or business intelligence development.
