Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Contract Analyst to join the team on a large-scale power construction project with direct visibility to C-suite executives, including potential briefings.

This senior-level role will manage complex contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and seamless execution in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, drafting, negotiation, redlining, and execution of high value construction contracts, amendments, and agreements with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for natural gas/power infrastructure projects.

  • Analyze contract terms for risks, compliance with legal/regulatory standards (e.g., energy sector regs), and alignment with project goals; recommend strategies to protect company interests.

  • Partner with outside legal counsel to ensure swift contract negotiations and execution.

  • Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, manage change orders, and resolve disputes; conduct audits and direct corrective actions as needed.

  • Prepare executive-level reports, summaries, and presentations on contract status, project risks, costs, and milestones for C-suite review and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with project teams, procurement, legal, engineering, and finance to support solicitation processes, vendor evaluations, and post-award administration.

  • Oversee insurance endorsements, billing, fiscal projections, and compliance for construction-related agreements.
Provide guidance on complex procurements (e.g., design-build, EPC) and serve as a subject matter expert on contract best practices in oil/gas/energy construction.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or related field; JD or advanced certification (e.g., CPCM, NCMA) preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in contract analysis/management, with at least 3-5 years in energy, oil/gas, or large construction projects.

  • Proven track record handling high-visibility contracts with C-suite exposure.

  • Financial acumen to understand, analyze, and report on contract cash flow scenarios and risks.

  • Experience with EPC contract drafting, negotiation, and execution for large scale “Mega Projects”.

  • Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure.

  • Excellent communication for executive briefings and cross-functional teamwork.

  • Proficiency in contract management software, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
