  • Perform technical and economic evaluations for new pipelines, reroutes, replacements, anomaly repairs, and station piping modifications.
  • Develop and review alignment sheets, material take-offs, hydrotest plans, and construction specifications.
  • Ensure pipeline designs comply with DOT 49 CFR Part 192, API, ASME B31.8, and Williams engineering standards.
  • Interface with project managers, GIS, land, operations, integrity, and construction to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support permitting, environmental reviews, land acquisition, and regulatory filings as needed.
  • Conduct site assessments and field walkdowns to support constructability reviews and risk mitigation.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers or contractors.
  • Champion safety, environmental, and compliance standards across all phases of project execution.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, risks, and quality metrics to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related) from an accredited university or Engineering Technology degree with a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of pipeline engineering principles, construction practices, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering tasks across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety in both design and field execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE license in one or more states.
  • Project Management experience, including cost and schedule control.
  • Experience in hydrostatic testing, in-line inspection (ILI) response, and anomaly repair planning.
  • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory requirements for FERC, PHMSA, and other agencies.
