Peoplesoft Human Capital Management Analyst

Location: Ignacio, CO

Description:

This position is responsible for supporting PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) developers and user groups, performing system requirements analysis, functional system design, developing identified projects, upgrades, development, and testing as necessary to provide the highest level of customer support.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for developing the PeopleSoft HCM model with local users within the company's Permanent Fund, Growth Fund and Casino, to include fit gap, functional and technical specifications to developers/programmers.
  • Responsible for assisting development staff to test local configurations including standard set-up, reports, customization, and interfaces in coordination with key users. 
  • Responsible for managing HCM data conversion tasks for developers; prepare data mapping; pilot data clean up done by key users; and test data loading.
  • Assist with adapting PeopleSoft HCM training; work with lead coordinator to develop training material to users.
  • Assists users in all areas of PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Provide assistant to senior HCM staff on projects and tasks as directed.
  • Provide direction to SUSS and contract developers in projects designed to increase the efficiency of the PeopleSoft HCM application when needed.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the PeopleSoft HCM user groups; work in coordination and cooperation to evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and training.
  • Responsible for conducting research and analysis on proposed projects, identifying potential negative and positive impact on various departments and processes.
  •  Responsible for working collaboratively with partners and others as needed to implement projects to achieve maximum value to enterprise shared services. 
  • Attends meeting and trainings as requested or required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested or required. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • Must have five years’ experience in a functional/technical position working as part of a team of PeopleSoft HCM developers in support of Human Resources, Benefits, Benefit Administration, Payroll, or Self-Service Modules such as E-recruit, E-benefits, and E-Pay.
  • Must have strong computer-based data management and analysis skills. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have strong operational knowledge of standard Human Resources best practices.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills that may require complicated formulas and calculations.
  • Must possess strong trouble shooting skills.
  • Must be willing to assist others, learn new skills, and participate in a productive team-oriented environment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain, if applicable, a Gaming Support License and any other licenses or certifications required or requested by the company within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Must have valid driver’s license for state of residency and be insurable by the Growth Fund vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding of People Code and People Tools.
  • Experience working within both a business and governmental environment.
  • Experience with multi-company and multi-departmental user support.
  • Experience with project management including milestones, issues, and risks management. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, orally and in written format.
  • Ability to prepare reports, and logically present facts and information.
  • Ability to read and understand technical materials.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.  

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Permanent Fund, Growth Fund, and Casino staff, co-workers, contractors, partners, and others.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Must have adequate hearing and speech to communicate effectively with co-workers and others by telephone and in-person.
  • Work will require standing, bending, kneeling, and long periods of sitting.
  • Work will require the use of computers with exposure to video display terminals, the need to work in front of a computer terminal for extended periods of time and some repetitive motion associated with data entry and the use of a computer mouse.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work is mostly performed in an office setting with some exposure to environmental stress.  
  • Work is occasionally performed out of doors in all weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may occasionally require exposure to loud machinery.
