Palo Alto Firewall Deployment

Description: 
The RPC OT Network department is looking for assistance for the 2024 Network Tech Refresh project.  Hardware to be refreshed include Cisco routers and switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.  This project entails the upgrade, configuration, shipment, documentation, and scheduling of remote network device replacement. 

Description of Work

• Coordination with RPC OT Network personnel.
• Unbox equipment.
• Upgrade device software based on automated processes or documented procedures.
• Configure device based on automated processes or documented procedures.
• Document device configuration prior to shipment.
• Communicate with remote field contact to schedule installation.
• Box equipment and ship to remote contact.
• Assist remote field contact with device installation and check on device status.
• Document device status.

Required Skillsets

• Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
• Communicate effectively via email and phone.
• General understanding of IT and networking concepts.  Enterprise networking experience or the equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches.  Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or comparable experience.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls.  Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) certification or comparable experience a plus.
