Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Cylinder Maintenance Technician. This role involves performing routine maintenance and rebuilds on cylinders in our laboratory, in accordance with DOT regulations. These cylinders are used to ship product and must be disassembled, inspected, and reassembled to specific torque specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and rebuilding of cylinders as required by DOT standards.
- Disassemble and reassemble cylinder components, ensuring bolts are torqued to exact specifications.
- Follow detailed task lists and work independently to complete daily assignments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in in-house training and complete required certification.
- Use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) properly at all times.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and mechanical systems.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently without direct supervision.
- Comfortable following procedures and regulatory guidelines precisely.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work efficiently and thoroughly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment safely as required by the job.
- All necessary PPE will be provided, except for work boots.
- Steel-toed boots are not required but are preferred.
- Certification and job-specific training will be provided upon hire.
