Description
Performs entry-level activities for a variety of human resource programs and activities.
- Provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of various human resources functions including but not limited to (as specified by position):
- Employment
- Benefits
- Personnel research/statistics
- Government reports
- Special projects
- Sickness benefits/FMLA
- Developmental training
- Labor Relations
Position Requirements
- Preferred Associate’s Degree Associate degree in human resources or related field with previous experience working with a variety of human resource functions or equivalent formal education to include a combination of courses such as speech, algebra, statistics, personnel management, organization development, or business communication PLUS the following job-related experience:
- Knowledge of human resources policies and programs.
- Working knowledge of applicable functions including employment, compensation, payroll and/or benefit administration.
- Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including using microcomputer applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point.
- Working knowledge of application of math, algebra, and basic statistics.
Working knowledge and/or training related to:
- Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and report writer applications
- Interpersonal/communication skills
- Governmental regulations
- Corporate organization structure
- Development training programs
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret policies, reports, governmental regulations, benefits information, training materials, employment documents, procedures, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze, and prepare information and reports including numerical data, policies, procedures, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to make presentations to groups and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
- Minimum Applicable driver’s license. Requires travel to offices and job sites throughout system.
- Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings.
- Communicate and/or exchange information verbally; conduct oral presentations.
- Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties
