Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable HR Administrator to join our team and support day-to-day human resources functions. This role is responsible for coordinating key HR processes such as benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, hiring and termination logistics, and maintaining employee records. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation is completed and orientation is scheduled
- Support the recruitment process by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Process employee terminations and conduct exit interviews
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HRIS records
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee data (e.g., leaves, absences, promotions)
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies
- Help coordinate company events, trainings, and compliance programs
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and other duties as assigned
- Revamping of the employee handbook
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of experience in an HR support or administrative role
- Familiarity with HR processes such as hiring, onboarding, and benefits administration
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with QuickBooks for Payroll
- Experience with tax receivables and payable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
- Familiar with trucking industry to ensure compliance
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a small to mid-sized company environment
- Experience with trucking industry
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
