Engineer

Location: Tulsa, OK

Description:

The primary function of the Engineer is to support the enterprise Mechanical Integrity program for existing assets and projects relating to new construction, increasing efficiency, increasing capacity, or other projects relating to the improvements in overall performance of the company's facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides support to stakeholders through technical analyses and mechanical integrity engineering evaluations.
  • Assists engineering team with Suitability for Service (SFS) and Fitness for Service (FFS) evaluations on enterprise equipment and components.
  • Assists with the coordination and planning of mechanical integrity inspections, analyses, and data management with Process Safety Engineers, Operations, Technical Services, and appropriate field office personnel.
  • Coordinates with other members of the Mechanical Integrity team in the implementation of the overall objective of efficient mechanical integrity programs and inspections.
  • Advises and supports management in the status of technical evaluations.
  • Attends meetings and conferences and researches, as necessary, to keep informed of technical developments.
  • Apply skills and concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability, and data accessibility throughout the group.
  • Responsible for organizing and updating production information as data is received.
  • Compiling data, communicating, and providing information to engineers, operations leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of available data applicable to business requirements.
  • Assisting with regulatory determinations as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with the company's Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines.

  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • A minimum four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Preferred:
  • Solid understanding of OSHA 1910.119 (J), CFR parts 192 Natural Gas and 195 Liquid Pipeline Regulations, and NBIC.
  • Knowledge working with ASME Section VIII Div-1 & 2, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 piping codes; as well as API-510, 570, 576, 653.
