The Crude Inventory Accountant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Description
The Crude Inventory Accountant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Month end close and reporting, including journal entries, inventory account reconciliation, financial reporting, variance analysis
- Complete volumetric reconciliations on Crude inventory movements
- Resolve AR/AP reconciliation issues
- Responsible for closing and settlement/net-out payment monthly for desk responsibilities
- Provide support to management team in the development, implementation and oversight of internal controls
- Work with schedulers, traders and other front office to resolve issues, as well as counterparties
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Provide ad hoc reporting and support business initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BS degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience of public or corporate accounting (oil and gas a plus)
- SAP
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial principles
- Sound written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team and manage deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- CPA is a plus
- Blackline is a plus
- Intermediate Excel skills (i.e., VLOOKUP, pivotable, etc.)
