Description
The Construction Contract Manager II supports project execution teams by assisting with the development, bidding, award, and execution of construction contracts. This role works collaboratively with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders to help define contract scope, schedule, specifications, and compensation by soliciting and incorporating input, and communicating contract status and requirements clearly and effectively, in accordance with Company requirements.
The role listens attentively to guidance and feedback, responds openly with appropriate detail, and supports internal customer needs by asking questions, prioritizing work appropriately in order to meet project requirements.
This position supports the preparation of bid packages by performing administrative and analytical tasks such as data entry, document preparation, vendor compliance verification, and use of Company bidding systems. The role supports bid walkthroughs and bid showing meetings virtually or in person and assists with coordinating proposal reviews and scheduling negotiations to help mitigate contractual risk.
The Construction Contract Manager II ensures contracts are awarded and executed in accordance with established policies and procedures and provides ongoing contractual support by routing questions related to bidding, contract interpretation, or change orders for internal review. The role communicates the status and completion of assigned work, is accountable for accuracy and compliance, and takes responsibility for assigned deliverables. This role drives results by consistently meeting assigned objectives, maintaining focus despite obstacles, and completing required tasks in a timely manner.
The Construction Contract Manager II demonstrates learning by asking questions, adapting to new or unfamiliar situations, learning from experience, and quickly developing an understanding of construction contracting principles and industry practices. The role works under general supervision and typically reports to a Supervisor or Manager.
