Business Analyst

Description:
The OpenText Business Analyst acts as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, specializing in implementing, configuring, and supporting OpenText solutions like Content Server (ECM). Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing document templates/workflows, managing user acceptance testing (UAT), and translating business needs into functional specifications for platforms like OpenText.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Analyze complex business problems and document requirements through BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
- OpenText Specialization: Design and configure templates, variable logic, and output workflows within OpenText.
- Process Improvement: Review, analyze, and update existing forms, workflows, and document processes for automation.
- Testing and Deployment: Support system integration testing (SIT) and UAT by preparing test scenarios and validating outputs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between business units (e.g., insurance, finance) and technical developers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with OpenText products (Exstream, Content Server, AppWorks).
- Domain Knowledge: Experience with insurance, financial services, or large-scale document correspondence.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to document processes, workflows, and business rules.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for translating technical requirements to business users.
- Experience Level: Typically 5-10+ years of Business Analyst experience, often requiring a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, says Tallo. Tallo +4
Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL, XML, and data mapping.
- Experience in Agile environments.
- Understanding of document output technologies (PDF, Email, SMS).
