Application Support Analyst

Houston, TX


Description:
The IT Analyst is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for software applications for L48 BU. This role involves responding to user inquiries, diagnosing and resolving application issues, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. The analyst also participates in incident management, monitors application health, and assists in implementing updates or enhancements. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Oversee the support and maintenance of assigned applications to ensure quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Provide day-to-day application support for incidents, including prioritizing and participating in a support rotation for critical production issues.
  • Deliver technical support and diagnosis for application, server, database, and cloud/web services.
  • Create and maintain documentation for the ongoing support of both vended and developed applications.
  • Follow established programming, documentation, change management, and project procedures, as well as all corporate policies.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to coordinate support and resolve application-related issues efficiently.


Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field or foreign equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience in Application Support Analyst positions
  • Prior experience supporting ProCount from IFS Energy & Resources


Preferred:

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Prior experience supporting Prodview application
  • Experience with ServiceNow & Demand Management
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with application support for low-code software platforms such as Mendix
  • Experience with UNIX, LINUX, and Windows based systems
  • Familiarity with integration principles and processes
  • Working knowledge of IT and information systems implementation concepts, with an awareness of the full application management lifecycle
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and lead contending priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including documentation
