Application Support Analyst

Location: Houston, TX or Tulsa, OK Area

Description

Individual will have responsibility for providing application support for a variety of vended applications and associated interfaces for our global Finance & Corporate Planning & Development capability team

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for a variety of applications including handling break/fix tickets, analyzing data/system issues and logging issues with vendor support if needed

  • Keep ServiceNow application service records and knowledge article up to date and perform quarterly software asset data update/certification

  • Perform monthly required app support activities for our tax applications

  • Manage and complete risk assessment for supported applications based on company standards and security policy

  • Collaborate with other internal and external IT experts when needed

  • Complete required system upgrades and patching for supported applications

  • Provide system integration testing when needed

  • Create training material when needed and maintain application support documentation

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
Basic/Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in System Administration, MIS, Computer Science, or other related fields.

  • 5+ years of hands on application support experience

  • Technical background including proficiency with SQL script and Oracle/SQL databases


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate success in supporting complex technical solutions

  • Experience with system interface support

  • Customer-focused and able to effectively communicate with a variety of groups

  • Experience with financial applications
