Description: 
Experienced Senior Marketing Accountant responsible for supporting the downstream marketing activities of oil and gas marketing affiliate. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting for crude oil marketing transactions, including netback calculations, crude settlement, and month-end close processes.  Requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Netback Calculations
  • Prepare and review netback calculations for crude oil sales, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Analyze variances and provide explanations for significant fluctuations.
• Crude Settlement:
  • Coordinate and execute crude oil settlement processes, including validating volumes, pricing, and deductions.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and counterparties to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely settlements.
• Accounting Close:
  • Perform month-end close activities related to marketing accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Ensure all marketing transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to marketing activities.
  • Support management with ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
