Description
The Functional Test Analyst is responsible for validating business requirements and system functionality through comprehensive testing activities. This role works closely with business stakeholders and project teams to ensure software solutions meet business needs and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop effective test coverage.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test data, and testing documentation.
- Execute Functional, Integration, End-to-End, Regression, and UAT testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Validate business processes and system integrations.
- Maintain testing assets and execution results within Azure DevOps.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality concerns to project stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and regression suites.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating and executing manual test cases.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable testing tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility, billing, or CIS testing experience.
- Experience with API, integration, and data validation testing.
- SQL knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise application implementations.
Must-Have
- Enterprise application testing experience.
- Strong regression and end-to-end testing experience.
- Azure DevOps proficiency.
Nice-to-Have
- Utility/CIS/Billing experience.
- API and SQL testing skills.
- Prior experience supporting large transformation programs.
