Description
A rapidly growing organization is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to support daily logistics and operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating the movement of trucks, materials, and drivers while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication across teams.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. This role is critical to keeping operations running smoothly and will require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch trucks, drivers, and materials to various job sites
- Track truck movements including pickups, deliveries, and return times
- Maintain accurate records of loads, routes, and delivery status
- Communicate with drivers, field teams, and operations to ensure timely execution
- Monitor and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays in real time
- Ensure all documentation related to loads and deliveries is accurate and complete
- Support reconciliation of haul tickets and delivery records as needed
- Provide updates to internal teams on delivery status and operational issues
- Maintain organized logs and reporting for daily operations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
- Comfortable working with tracking systems, spreadsheets, and operational software
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in trucking, logistics, construction, or materials operations
- Familiarity with ticket-based or load-based operations
- Experience working with high-volume dispatch or coordination
