Financial Analyst

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making for our refinery operations. This role is responsible for advising management on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial operations and be capable of aligning financial strategies with the operational goals of a refinery environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis to refinery leadership on operating budgets and cost optimization.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, project evaluation, and long-term planning.
  • Analyze operational costs and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and KPIs; provide variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to assess the financial impact of projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in risk assessment, compliance, and internal controls related to financial activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, commodity pricing, and market conditions affecting refinery operations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-3+ years of experience in financial planning or advisory roles, preferably in industrial, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of refinery operations/maintenance and cost structures (preferred).
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, operational environment
