The Business Analyst is responsible for designing business processes and determining business requirements that IT and other business units use to implement new business solutions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Determines solutions and supporting requirements in the context of existing and new IT system infrastructure
- Works with management, business units and system integrators to evaluate, design and implement an Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP)
- Assists management in coordinating the implementation of designed systems
- Interviews team members to determine current and future business processes, systems and needs
- Routinely produces as-is business process maps and future state business process maps to stay abreast of progressive technologies and methodologies
- Gathers business requirements for new and/or enhanced solutions and resources required for implementation
- Collaborates with integration partners, developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated into working designs and solutions
- Mediates and facilitates connections between software developers, integration partners and business units to ensure solutions are designed, developed and implemented
- Routinely reviews and coordinates projects, their prioritization and scheduling with all project stakeholders
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
- Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years’ experience in related field
- Technology, data analysis or computer science experience required
- Capable of making system and process recommendations to improve efficiency, accuracy and stability
- Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Project management skills
- Must have computer and technological skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form
- Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Manufacturing experience preferred
