Technical Data Center Consultant

Location: Tulsa, OK - Hybrid

Description

Looking for a technical infrastructure leader to partner with our leadership team in the delivery of ongoing transformational efforts. A successful candidate would be able to understand the big picture and why behind efforts and objectives and ensure they and the teams they work with/help lead are in alignment to those goals and outcomes.  They will also need to be able to work collaboratively with peers across IT and the Business to ensure there is clarity and alignment for delivery approach and timeline. 

One primary effort this role will be responsible for is our datacenter migration effort. We are currently in the build phase for co-located and cloud availability zones that will require migration of all existing systems and services. This role will work with the technical team to ensure that we have a migration approach that meets our technical, security, and timeline objectives. They will also work collaboratively with peers from IT and the business, as well as partners, to ensure there is alignment and clarity on approach, timeline, and status.

What they need:

  • Well organized and able to lead a team of teams to accomplish a common goal.

  • Experience with workload migrations between disparate hypervisors, datacenters, or clouds

  • Solid understanding of both Application and Infrastructure (Storage, Compute, Network, and Cloud) architecture.

  • Good understanding of macro and micro-segmentation of network traffic.

    • Experiences with Palo Alto Panorama and Nutanix Flow preferred

  • Working knowledge of automation toolsets:

    • Ansible Tower

    • HashiCorp Terraform

  • Strong familiarity with Azure cloud deployments and offerings

  • Able to understand the why behind objectives and drive to that. 

  • Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical individuals.
