SEO Specialist

Location: Tulsa, OK - Hybrid

Description

We are hiring an SEO Specialist who will be responsible for helping research keywords and provide client search recommendations, competitor search analysis, website SEO audit and recommendation and continued search monitoring and analysis of client digital properties. This will also entail assisting with managing client content marketing strategies, analyze website performance, and collaborate with developers and writers in implementing changes to maximize traffic.

This position reports directly to the Director of Search marketing and will work across several key areas (copywriting, design, development and account service) to produce foundational search-focused recommendations and executions for multiple clients across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Keyword research and optimization on client websites and blog articles.

  • Structured data markup and rich snippet implementation.

  • Troubleshoot underperforming SEO accounts.

  • Keep up to date on SEO best practices, strategies and technologies.

  • Reading and diagnosing reports generated from Google Analytics and other reporting platforms.

  • Contribute to client-facing dashboards.

  • Assist with the creation of Analytic Dashboard.

  • Assist in managing website changes.

  • Analyze company’s current SEO strategy, competitor landscape, website contents, analytics and paid advertising performance.

    • From this analysis, create a comprehensive SEO campaign that improves the company’s website’s ranking on search engines like Google by finding the most popular and relevant keywords used in search engine queries as well as high-traffic, less competitive long-tail keywords to add to company websites to help search engines find those sites and display them to web users.

  • Build comprehensive keyword research plans to help find the most important keywords to focus our SEO efforts on.

  • Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts.

  • Monitor and analyze daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance and present key

  • findings.

  • Collaborate with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy.

  • Update content and website links for maximum optimization and search engine rankings.

  • Work with web developers to quickly resolve technical SEO issues.

  • Employ understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.

  • Employ understanding of SEO industry programs, such as Google Analytics and SEMrush.

  • Employ knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools.

  • Complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry, including the strength of their SEO and keywords they rank for.

  • Employ familiarity with content management systems, preferably including Webflow and/or Drupal.

  • Provide a strategy to improve the company’s sites’ click speed by reducing drag, optimizing images, reducing unnecessary code and reducing redirects.


Qualifications:

  • At minimum 2 years of experience in search marketing or similar position.

  • Preferred previous experience in ad agency or marketing company.

  • Examples of past work which demonstrates abilities and knowledge in search marketing.

  • Ability to receive feedback and collaborate with other team members in a professional manner.

  • Proficiency in Word, and/or Google Docs.

  • Up-to-date understanding of Google Analytics and search best practices.
