Description
Vast is looking for a senior project manager to help create a well establish world-class PMO team, ensuring strong guardrail management, well-understood, effective PMO processes, and delivery of useful metrics to relevant stakeholders, providing updates and clear guidance based on quality data.
Essential Functions
Develop, socialize and operationalize project management and project governance frameworks, processes and enabling technologies across the organization
Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, organizing, leading and controlling activities to ensure successful completion of objectives.
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with stakeholders
Managing complex, multi-faceted projects that require extensive planning, coordination, and communication with multiple departments within an organization.
Responsible for portfolio/program/project objectives
Collaborate with leadership to make sure their specific use cases and gaps in knowledge are being resolved
Create and manage supporting project documents including but not limited to project plans, risk mitigation plans, communication plans, budgets, other project management-related documentation
Gather various elements of project performance data and routinely report such to the project team, stakeholders and leadership
Maintain constant oversight of project budgets through assimilation of actual cost data and re-forecasting of expected total costs
Ability to analyze data to identify problems and propose solutions
Developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency in operations.

Requirements
Exceptional leader who is articulate, has ability to navigate and direct ambiguity, and deliver customer centric results
5+ years of management experience in an operations team or running a Program Management Office (PMO)
7+ years of proven track record of Program Management leading large global technology initiatives
Extraordinary cross-functional collaborator; Inventive problem-solver who can lead and influence with a variety of partners
High attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written; ability to present at all levels
Highly resourceful, Self-Motivated and a Can-do demeanor
Must have the ability to prosper in a fast paced, dynamic, demanding and fluid environment and maintain a can-do demeanor
Experience leading a diverse group of individuals, with different experience and skillsets, and experience leading both full time employees and contingent staff
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Certification in project/program management (e.g., Project Management Institute’s PMP) a plus
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
