Description:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including coaching & development, talent acquisition, payroll administration, benefits enrollment, leave of absence, and ensuring understanding and compliance with company policies and practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Prepare and processes bi-weekly payroll, 401k contributions, and payroll journal entries.
- Facilitate and conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations related to complex employee issues or conflicts and bring to a resolution.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitate training as needed.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, employee retention, and morale.
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook.
- Perform annual reviews of job descriptions to ensure accuracy.

- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices (compensation, performance management, hiring, and employee relations)
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of human resources related work experience.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- BS degree in Human Resources or related field, a plus.
