Job Description

Financial Controller

Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Overview:

As the Financial Controller you will oversee and optimize all financial and accounting operations of our client’s company. You will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting, implementing robust internal controls, and driving financial efficiency across the organization. You must be a proactive leader who can maximize asset utilization and ensure the financial health of our client’s company. 

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Prepare and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive management and stakeholders
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and provide regular variance analysis
  • Develop and maintain cash flow projections to ensure optimal liquidity
Strategic Financial Planning
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
  • Lead financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decision-making
Asset Optimization and Efficiency
  • Implement strategies to maximize return on assets and improve overall financial efficiency
  • Oversee working capital management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial efficiency and asset utilization
Internal Controls and Risk Management
  • Design and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance department
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in corporate finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
  • Proven track record of implementing financial systems and improving processes
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills
