Location: Houston, TX

Description

As Document Controls Specialist III within the Tactical Projects Group, you will act as primary support for capital maintenance projects that range in total value of approximately $300MM annually. Must have an aptitude for projects execution, project life cycle, data analytics, proficiency in databases and knowledge of our business are keys to success! Work with PMs and Engineers in four manager groups supporting four key areas: development and use of Aconex system; refinement of Innovation Management (IM), an MS Excel database; Interface and management of Maximo data/requirements (e.g., management of change (MOC) compliance and outage scheduling); track and report on safety incidents and general support to project management teams’ efforts.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Using Aconex, develop and establish a cadence and proper workflow process for ensuring all documentation is received on a project prior to close out

  • Work in a team environment and develop a project Aconex procedure to ensure workflow and document reviews are completed in Aconex in a manner that supports the use and needs of the project teams in the Tactical Projects Group

  • Using IM (an MS Excel database), review project entries handed over from the Technical Services group to the Tactical group and make the appropriate edits and updates to ensure project accuracy and quality control

  • Support the creation of a process and workflow for identifying and reporting on project location to assist with project mapping

  • Interface with project managers and administer the necessary documentation to schedule pipeline outages through Maximo; coordinate any issues with Pipeline Control

  • Interface with project managers and project team members to track and report safety incidents

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in the energy industry

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six (6) years' experience in document management, project controls, project management, or project controls


Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC skills, with higher levels of skill in Excel, Power BI, and Access applications

  • Preferred to have skills and knowledge in the use of Aconex

  • Shown experience with electronic deliverables management and associated systems (Oracle, Aconex, SharePoint, OpenText)

  • Demonstrates understanding of naming schema, data management standards, and data migration

Preferred:

  • Experience working in regulated environment regarding PHMSA, FERC, DOT, BESE, PSM, etc.

  • Preferred: Quality of Lean Management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma); Project Management Professional certification; Experience with Smartsheets
