Disaster Recovery Coordinator - Hybrid Position

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Description

The Disaster Recovery Coordinator functions include ensuring that processes and data are preserved in the event of a significant disruption. Secondary tasks will include; developing relationships across all business and technical teams, conducting risk assessments, maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity documentation, and developing exercises to audit and validate controls.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans for critical business units.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical infrastructure and systems.

  • Develop and deliver, as necessary, exercise scenarios; obtain required approvals of outcome reports for exercises.

  • Conduct BIA assessments and maintain inventory of critical systems.

  • Conduct risk assessments and gap analysis for critical vendors and dependencies.

  • Develop and document table top exercises.

  • Develop executive presentations.

  • Develop and review policies related to business continuity and disaster recovery.

  • Manage projects related to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

  • Actively seeks to expand individual skills through research, training, and collaboration with peers

  • Perform additional duties and assignments as requested

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Industry Certification (ISO 22301) preferred

  • Associate or Certified Business Continuity Professional preferred (ABCP/CBCP)

  • Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of IT, Project Management, Enterprise Risk and Compliance, or Disaster Recovery

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical understanding of enterprise level hardware and software, to include databases

  • In-depth understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery

  • Understanding of data center design and maintenance

  • Understanding of impact analysis, risk assessments, and gap analysis

  • Training development and presentation

  • Evaluate critical systems and data, prioritize criticality and determine impacts

  • Advanced project management skills

  • Strong relationship-building skills

  • Highly effective working in cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies

  • Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal

  • Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers
