Primary Responsibilities for the Director of Programs
The Director of Programs is responsible for overall team leadership of Due North, JobsFirst, and NextUp programs. This includes strategic program operations, overall program delivery, and team management. This position will serve as the first point of contact for the executive team on program information, progress, and achievement of outcomes.

Leadership

  • Lead and coach Program Coordinators and Career Coaches on successful methodologies and processes to help target populations reach their career goals.

  • Guide Program Coordinators on recruitment strategies toward increasing program participation, creating and advocating programming activities, and engaging with community partners.

  • Meet regularly with direct reports to help them reach their potential, leveraging strengths and identifying gap areas while empowering individual development of strategic solutions to meet program goals.


Program Operations

  • Continuous evaluation of the programs and their activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the overall organization

  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and contractual requirements

  • Hiring, training, and developing new employees to meet organizational needs.

  • Serve as a backup for Program Coordinators and Program Career Coaches

  • In coordination with the Chief Operating Officer, develop and manage an annual budget for program services

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners


Strategic Management

  • Assist Program Coordinators with prioritizing and implementing tasks according to their goals and objectives

  • Analyze weekly program reports with program coordinators and create action plans that drive success

  • Develop, and be accountable for implementing plans to achieve, short/long-term goals for program coordinators to connect with new customers, which leads to successful outcomes for growing each program.


Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree (MBA or MPA preferred)

  • Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs

  • Minimum five years’ experience working in the non-profit/human services field with a background in program development and management, budgets, and providing direct services to clients.

  • Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool to implement program evaluation systems.

  • Successfully delivered team goals along with the strategic plan on how to meet them.

  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth

  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for the company mission

  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce or other CRM database

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed

  • Must have personal transportation
