Category Manager, IT Projects
Location: Tulsa, OK Area
Description
Draft and negotiate moderate to highly complex contracts, amendments, addenda, statements of work and project statements to accommodate scope changes or changes in organizational requirements.
Interpret contracts for the enterprise, review vendor proposals, pricing and terms and conditions.
Primary liaison with legal.
Use industry level benchmarking, an ethical process and relevant data for negotiations.
Advise management of contractual rights obligations and risks.
Perform Request for Proposals, competitive bids, market analysis and supplier evaluations.
Liaison all bidder communications, negotiations and required meetings
Work closely with IT and Business areas, recommending and developing repeatable and consistent processes within the framework of agreements to ensure metrics, processes and procedures are in place and implemented to measure vendor performance and ensure optimum vendor delivery, quality, service, and pricing
Work to improve internal processes to increase the overall vendor management capabilities of the organization. Contribute to the overall sourcing strategy and roadmaps
Develop collaborative relationships with IT and Business areas
Maintain high level understanding of business and project alignments
Secure and adapt engagement models, based on business level requirements
Maintain and communicate all contract renewal, renegotiations, and term notices
In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating and procuring IT-related technology, including Software, SaaS, hardware, professional services, Statements of Work, telecom, and all related peripherals. You will generate market analysis, requests for proposals, perform competitive bids, lead contract negotiations, and support the business with ongoing supplier management/evaluation program.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, other related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of contract and vendor management work experience, specifically in the IT area required
Strong emphasis on strategic sourcing and project management required
Experience working with IT operations sourcing providers required
Prior management, supervisory or leadership experience required
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Sourcing Professional (CSM), Certified Supplier Management Professional (CSMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
Able to influence others in the decision-making process
Highly organized and detail oriented
Contract development, interpretation, and maintenance skills
