Description:
The Capital Markets Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing administrative support, reporting assistance, and technical support to the Capital Markets Department and performs a wide variety of duties, under limited supervision. This position has direct responsibility for assigned functions within the department.
- Performs Administrative Assistance duties for the Treasurer and the Treasurer’s leadership team, including scheduling meetings and conferences, making necessary arrangements for meeting rooms and equipment, (i.e., Webex, video, TV monitors, etc.). May attend meetings and record minutes. Acts as communications liaison for department; updates schedules and calendars for division managers and other professionals.
- Serves as first level response by assisting in the monitoring of, and responding to requests to Capital Markets department via. the “Capital Markets Inbox.” Could include handling requests for simple yield maintenance fee calculations, rate locks, and the manual logging of loan Note details into databases. The Coordinator will route complex requests to the Asset/Liability team as appropriate.
- Performs/assists with a monthly audit of the yield maintenance fees collected vs. assessed and various funds transfer pricing monthly reporting and reconciliation.
- Coordinates, attends, and drafts minutes for the Deposit Pricing, Capital, MSR Valuation and Hedging Committees, and coordinates scheduling of the Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO) meeting.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of various pieces of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly data gathering and reporting duties for the Bank’s Portfolio Support, Funding, Asset/Liability, Capital Management, and Mortgage Capital Markets functions.
- Assist Capital Markets management in the coordination and organization of internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and risk/control monitoring.
- Provides backup for other duties in Capital Markets; assists in special projects and reports as requested by management.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience required:
- 5+ years of administrative assistance experience
- Ability to learn complex tasks quickly and repeat with minimal errors
- Excellent PC and software application skills, particularly spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to handle significant fluctuations in volumes while meeting extremely stringent deadlines.
- Ability to improve functional efficiency, streamline and improve methodology.
- Ability to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner.
- Excellent analytical, coping, and problem solving skills
