Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you are a rock star B2B sales professional who is on a mission to maximize market opportunities for the company and yourself. We will depend on your oomph, tenacity, smarts, and experience to promote and sell our services. You will manage the selling process from lead generation through closing. We are in the business of People, Technology, and Process, so you must be great at developing collaborative customer relationships that lead to a profound understanding of the business issues to be addressed. Then, you must be great at communicating how our products and services can most successfully meet the customers’ requirements. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity and is a best fit for someone who understands how to be successful when dealing with long, complex sales cycles. You will report directly to the Executive Vice President.

Responsibilities:

  • Build trust with everyone.

  • Consistently negotiate and closes new business.

  • Develop and maintain an effective business, sales, and marketing plan for assigned territory.

  • Develop strategies to generate cost effective sales leads.

  • Properly forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for assigned territory.

  • Document all sales contacts and activities in sales tools and systems.

  • Effectively demonstrate and present our corporate travel management solution.

  • Consistently maintain a reasonable number of new weekly face-to-face prospect meetings.

  • Develop and maintain 3rd party partnerships that lead to new business leads and wins.

  • Provide constant feedback to Sales management on the territory environment.

  • Accurately qualify and prepare pre-sales staff and other subject matter experts for customer demonstrations and presentations.

  • Share input with other departments in preparing sales materials and publications.


Qualifications
Education, Experience & Training required:

  • BA in a business or technical related area of study.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales.

  • Prior corporate travel industry or technical sales experience preferred.

  • Self-starter. Minimal direction needed. Must have an excellent work ethic. High energy.

  • Strong in problem solving and asking probing questions.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Successful experience in identifying, qualifying, and closing new business.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales, and marketing plans.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software direct and reseller sales channels.

  • Strong knowledge of industry travel and entertainment products.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue.

Job Description

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate complex contracts.

  • Strong ability to create sales presentation messages, positioning statements, and other sales collateral.

  • Flexibility in work schedule is required.

  • Various means of travel is required, including air travel.
