Analytics Operations & Service Delivery Administrator

Location: Houston, TX


The purpose of this role is to strategically implement and support Analytics software and systems including integration with databases and data warehouses and championing the technologies and their utilization. This position will be primary support of the Spotfire application and its components.


Administration Support for Spotfire:

  • Operations – configuration, monitoring, security, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

  • System changes - installs, upgrades, patches, testing

  • Work closely with other ADT teams on planning, delivery, and issues regarding Spotfire

  • Performance and disk space monitoring of Spotfire servers

  • Developing and maintaining scripts used to automate various administrative tasks

  • Ensuring all the Spotfire servers comply with Company security standards (DEV, TEST, and PROD)

  • Managing documentation of Spotfire administrator duties along with the Spotfire COE SharePoint site

  • Partnering with Windows Server, Production Control, Database Services, Web Services, Packaging, Storage Management, Disaster Recovery, ServiceDesk, and other IT teams as part of ongoing operations

  • Be part of an on-call rotation providing support for critical production issues

  • Provides technical consulting and guidance to development teams for the design and development of highly complex or critical Spotfire reports

  • Provide technical support and work with infrastructure teams to ensure an effective operating environment including throughput, repository sizing, capacity planning, and maintenance


  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or comparable experience (5+ years in IT related field)

  • 2+ years’ experience with Spotfire administration and report development

  • 2+ years’ experience in software administration, support, or development

  • 2+ years’ experience using SQL to query databases

  • 1+ years’ experience with Servicenow or similar ticketing system

  • Knowledge and experience of BI and Analytics platforms

  • Knowledge and experience of Integration platforms

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly recognize, isolate, and resolve technical problems

  • Willingness to work after business hours periodically to implement needed changes or upgrades

  • Strong verbal/written communication and team building skills

  • Customer focused, business driven, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong networks with company resources around the globe


  • 3+ years’ experience using Windows Virtual Servers

  • Prior experience installing, patching and supporting commercial off the shelf software

  • A basic understanding of application integration

  • Experience with SQL on Oracle and MS SQL Server

  • Experience with R and IronPython languages

  • Experience with Active Directory and integrating Active Directory with applications using LDAP and Kerberos
